A 32-Bore Indian Matchlock Gun (Toradar)
18th Century
With slender swamped three-stage sighted barrel decorated with applied panels of copper-gilt flowers and foliage in relief on a punched ground and with raised gilt bands, the breech with Indian arsenal marking, lacquered hardwood full stock (minor defects) with gilt borders, steel side-plates lacquered with black mauresques on a gilt ground (some losses), and iron ramrod, the trigger and match-holder each with applied pierced gilt-brass panels (incomplete on the former, pricker missing)
