With swamped octagonal sighted barrel rifled with seven grooves and with engraved panels at the muzzle and breech, those on the latter decorated with flowers, foliage, and a monster-head, all on a hatched ground, the top flat with full signature and date in script, and maker's stamp of Johann Limmer of Kronach (Neue Støckel 7791), engraved tang, flat lock engraved with flowers and foliage on a hatched ground and signed in a cartouche supported by two angels, engraved integral flat wheel-cover, pierced and engraved cock and bridle to the cock-spring, engraved pan-cover with flat-headed release button, figured walnut full stock with fluted fore-end, carved in relief with foliage and with a flower-head on the iron-mounted patch-box cover, engraved iron side-nail washers, engraved indented iron trigger-guard with pierced and engraved foliate finial, set trigger, iron butt-plate with button, iron fore-end cap and forward ramrod-pipe, and iron-mounted ramrod
