A PAIR OF BLACK AND GOLD LACQUER TALL VASE STANDS
late 18th/early 19th century
Each with a rectangular quatrefoil top gilt with an extensive water landscape with bridges and pavilions beside tall mountain ranges below clouds, supported below by tall curved legs joined by a reticulated scroll band concealing a single drawer above the spreading shaped apron, the legs terminating in scroll feet on a quatrefoil base decorated with elaborate floral scrolls enclosing a central shou-character roundel and resting on four short ruyi-head feet, minor cracks
