Several commodes displaying the same distictive characteristics are recorded, including that stamped by Jean-Mathieu Chevallier (maître in 1743) sold in Bang-en-Bresse, 4 April 1993, as well as that sold in Versailles, 22 November 1992, lot 131. Likewise, the ormolu angle-mounts appear on a commode stamped L.S.F., sold anonymously at Christie's Monaco, 13 June 1988, lot 118, another sold in Paris, Drouot, 2-3 December 1948, lot 200 and another at Sotheby's Monaco, 3 May 1977, lot 58.
