With overhanging lid, chiri-i [curved top edges] and incurving corners; exterior with dense gold nashiji ground; decoration of variously sized floral motifs and roundels in gold, aokin and silver hiramaki-e; rims gold lacquer; other surfaces black lacquer with gold hirame; gilt metal fittings; silk cords, old wear
