The black lacquer shrine with hinged door and gilt copper kanamono finely chiselled with scrolling foliage, to reveal a polychrome- lacquered and gilt wood sculpture of Jizo Bosatsu wearing a rich brocade robe, seated on a lotus pedestal, holding in his left hand a hoju [sacred pearl], a shakujo [staff] in his right hand, some old wear
