Signed Dai Nihon Satsuma-yaki, Meiji period (late 19th century)
Of trefoil section raised on three feet and decorated in various coloured enamels and gilt with three panels on a floral and geometric ground, each alternatively depicting sprays of chrysanthemums, peonies and plum blossoms, fitted with a pierced silvered cover decorated with cherry blossom and leaves, signed on the base in gilt Dai Nihon Satsuma-yaki with a Shimazu mon in blue enamel
