A Victorian General Officer's Uniform
A good scarlet Full Dress tunic, with fine gilt buttons and gold oakleaf embroidery on collar, cuffs and slashes, and with regulation plaited gold shoulder-cords (now lacking badges of rank); companion blue cloth trousers bearing 2½in. gold lace stripes; and a cocked hat with double bullion loop and white over red drooping feather plume; together with a Line Infantry Officer's gold and crimson levée sash.
