SEVEN HILLS
In 1988, Casey and Vicky McClellan joined the founded partners of Seven Hills Vineyard to create Seven Hills Vineyard to create Seven Hills Winery. In their first vintage, they crafted four tons of select Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot into 250 cases of critically acclaimed wines. Since that first vintage they have grown to crush 120 tons of fruit adding Syrah, Pinot Gris and White Riesling. Their emphasis has always been to augment and elevate the expression of terroir arising from meticulous viticulture and low yields of their chosen vineyards from the Seven Hills Vineyard Valley, Klipsun Vineyard and the Walla Walla Valley.
Seven Hills Winery, Seven Hills Vineyard Reserve, Cabernet Sauvignon --Vintage 1997
Washington, Walla Walla Valley
In original wooden case
"A rare offering from Seven Hills, this Cabernet has only been produced three times in twelve years. They exclusively use fruit from the oldest vines at Seven Hills Vineyard, then finish it in 100 new French oak. The wine is 100 Cabernet, yet subtle, elegant and complex. Exquisitely balanced tannins support a deep ripe fruit palate. One of the pinnacles of Northwest Cabernet craftmanship."
