A Derby cylindrical mug
possibly painted by William 'Quaker' Pegg, with a generous band of alternate pink and yellow roses on a pale-blue ground below a gilt border of linked stylised serpents below anthemion, iron-red painted mark, and lilac pattern number 34, Duesbury & Kean, circa 1800 (minor scratches to enamel and rubbing to gilding) -- 13cm. high
