A Derby rectangular two-handled ink stand
the stand with two shaped oval wells, probably painted by Robert Brewer with three landscapes within oval and circular cartouche reserved on a gilt cross-hatched ground, below a central ridge moulded with an oval urn-shaped quill stand, the pierced cover with two apertures, between an urn-shaped sander and cover and a similar ink well and cover, iron-red mark and pattern number 40, Robt. Bloor & Co., circa 1815 (one cover broken and restuck, and one handle off broken and restuck, minor rubbing to gilding) -- 30cm. wide
