A pair of Worcester slender baluster vases and covers
Circa 1770, blue square seal marks
Painted in the Kakiemon palette with panels of phoenix perched on rockwork beneath flowering branches, and panels of insects in flight over flowers and foliage alternating with panels of blue-ground and gilt flowers and foliage, the necks with oval cartouches of flowers and foliage on a ground of iron-red scrolls, all within gilt borders (finials to covers and rim of one cover restored, one vase restored)
