A German fayence duck-tureen and cover
Circa 1755
Naturally modelled and painted in grand feu colours with ochre and brown speckled plumage, with a manganese and white band about its neck, the white plumage of its wings, tail feathers and abdomen with manganese markings, with yellow beak and webbed feet (minute chip to tip of wings, restoration to tip of tail, restoration and small chip to one foot, areas of flaking and grazing to glaze)
