A solid hull model with the topsides painted grey, a black waterline and a green bottom. The deck of the model is primarily basswood veneer which has been scored to replicate deck planking. The deck seams have been stained black to resemble caulking. The superstructure and other deck structures are built up, painted grey and are well detailed. Other details on the model include: anchors, anchor chain, chocks, bollards, life rings, boats on davits, 12-12" guns mounted in turrets, 12- 5" guns mounted on the gun deck, search lights, ventilators, deck railings, masts rigged with stays and flag halyards, gangways, cranes, funnels, torpedo nets, and numerous other details. Mounted on brass pedestals on a white pine base with a plexigalass cover.
