A French gilt-brass and Limoges enamel mounted striking and repeating carriage clock
No. 1986; retailed by Le Boutillier & Co. Paris. Fourth quarter 19th century
The anglaise riche Corinthian case with stepped base and ripple galleries, with Limoges enamel side panels decorated in polychrome with a figure of Cupid, respectively with bow and butterfly and with a Punch toy (both with restored cracks), the dial with flowers and scrolls about an urn, with gilt chapter ring and white numerals, retail signature to the centre LE BOUTILLLIER & CO. PARIS, with gilt hands, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to the bimetallic balance with lever escapement, strike/repeat on gong to the backplate numbered 1986
