A French gilt-brass and champlevé enamel striking and repeating carriage clock with alarm
No. 2024. Fourth quarter 19th century
The anglaise riche case with ripple galleries and Greek key handle, decorated overall in polychrome enamels with floral designs, with conforming mask to the white enamel chapter disc painted with gilt cartouches around the Roman numerals and with a blue conjoined scroll motif to the centre, with conforming alarm disc below, blued steel hands, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to the bimetallic balance with lever escapement, strike/repeat/alarm on gong to the backplate numbered 2024
