FIRST EDITION of this "excellent abridgment of the first ten volumes of the 'Lettres Èdifiantes;' it contains particulars of the Jesuit missions in Peru by Ricolo and Nyel, in Mexico, California, Hudson's Bay, and Barrera's Abode among the Moxos and Chiriguanos of South America. Mr. Lockwood proposed to have given the other fifteen which had then been published, but they never appeared." Sabin 40708. (2)
