FIRST EDITION OF THE FIRST WORK TO DEAL EXTENSIVELY WITH GREENLAND. In addition to describing the geography, population, history and commerce of Greenland, La Peyrère gives an account of Munk's voyage to find a Northwest Passage for the Danish East India Company. That expedition, which turned back after reaching the west shore of Hudson's Bay, brought back much information of the area and aroused interest in Europe.
