A Wedgwood bright-blue-dipped Jasper octagonal teapot and cover
Circa 1790, impressed upper case and H mark to base
Applied in white relief, the slightly domed cover with central button finial with radiating oak leaves and acorns, the D-shaped handle with stiff acanthus, the angular spout with a laurel garland at its base, the upper edge of the pot with a border of linked scrolling anthemia and the two longer sides with medallions of ladies in classical dress, the shorter sides with suspended ribbon-tied musical and amatory trophies and acanthus medallions (cover repaired, minor chip to spout, hairline cracks to base and rim)
