A pair of Wedgwood pale-blue solid Jasper bough-pots
Late 18th Century, impressed upper case marks
After the original models by William Hackwood, of square section and applied in white relief, the upper edges with arched pediments with fanlight ornament and the upper corners with paterae, the sides with rectangular cartouches of classically-draped seated figures of ladies playing the harp or reading, the other two sides with tripods filled with fruit or flaming braziers, the corners with flowering plants, the spreading stepped bases with borders of stiff leaves (liners lacking, restored chips to corners of bases, one arched pediment with restoration)
