A pair of Wedgwood pale-blue-dipped Jasper flower-pots
Late 18th Century, both with impressed upper-case marks, one with incised X
After the original models by John Flaxman R.A., the cylindrical bodies with moulded ribbon-tied wreath rims and white relief borders of scrolling flowers and foliage above continuous friezes of putti playing 'blind man's buff', the flared fluted lower sections with laurel garland borders, on solid blue jasper hexagonal trefoil-pierced footed bases with blind fretted friezes to the sides (liners lacking, one with crack to body, chips to feet)
