Circa 1740, the contemporary mounts with décharge of Louis Robin, Paris, 1738-44
Painted with trailing flowering shrubs and scattered flowerheads, the underside with a moth and an insect, the interior to the cover with scattered flowerheads (very slight scratching to base and minute chip to rim of cover)
