1787, blue interlaced L marks enclosing date letter KK, painter's mark Nq for Nicquet and painter's mark LF perhaps for La France, incised script Sc and 51 to can
Painted in puce camaieu with Cupid among clouds in a gilt oval cartouche and with scrolling purple flowers about a gilt band beneath a border of trailing flowering fucshia between gilt lines and a band of pendant loop and dot ornament (rubbing to gilt cartouche and rims of can, glaze scratched to interior, chip to underside edge of saucer) (2)
