A Meissen two-handled shaped oval tray
Circa 1745, blue crossed swords mark, Pressnummer 27, the painting with indistinct inscription oberwese(?)
The centre painted with a river landscape with fishermen in boats before a fortified city within a moulded gilt and brown line scroll and foliage cartouche with two medallions painted in purple camaïeu with figures, surrounded by indianische Blumen, the border painted with four harbour and river landscapes within gilt oval cartouches with gilt diaper-pattern, purple and iron-red scrolls, flowers and dragons' heads between gilt bands, the scroll handles enriched in gilding and with gilt shells, gilt line to footrim (restoration to handles, one with small pieces lacking, very minor wear to enamels and gilding)
