A Meissen (Marcolini) blue-ground cylindrical cup, cover and saucer Circa 1800, blue crossed swords, star and .. to can and 4 and .. to saucer, incised 6 to can and Pressnummer 21 to saucer
The can with gilt angular handle, painted with Venus and Cupid by a pink rose-bush and shrubs in a landscape with the entwined gilt monogram HCOM in an oval cartouche above, within an oval reserve surrounded by a wreath of flowers and foliage, the saucer similarly decorated with Jupiter and Venus among clouds within a band of gilt interlocking circle-ornament, the cover with gilt wreath and ribbon finial, gilt line and dentil rims (rubbing to top rim of can and very slight rubbing to monogram of saucer, finial repaired)
