A Meissen Figure of Pantaloon from the Duke of Weissenfels series
Circa 1745, blue crossed swords mark
Modelled by J.J. Kändler and P. Reinicke, in black skull-cap, flowing white coat, iron-red jacket and breeches with gilt buttons and frogging and yellow shoes, a gilt and black dagger at his right side, standing in a theatrical gesture with his right arm raised, his left behind his back, on an oval mound base applied with coloured flowers and foliage (right fingers lacking, minute chip to back of coat, flowers and foliage)
