A Japanese sectional okimono of a traveller and child
19th Century
with smiling faces, standing barefoot on a shaped base with a pumpkin at their feet, both wearing tunics with carved details, the boy with his arms held out before him, the man holding a large stick and a bundle of wood over one shoulder -- 6¼in. (15.9cms) high; and an Indian carving of a caparisoned elephant on a rectangular base with figures and their mahout seated below a domed canopy -- 5¼in. (13.4cms) high, (minor damages).
