Mark of Lionel Alfred Crichton, London, 1910
Comprising a kettle on stand with burner, coffee pot, tea pot, hot milk jug, covered sugar bowl, cream jug and waste bowl; each pyriform on a gadrooned circular foot, the body chased all over with flowering foliage and leaves, centering a vacant cartouche on each side, with wood handles and hinged domed covers with bud finials, the rectangular tray with gadrooned border and two leaf-clad handles, the field flat-chased with dense foliage centering a coat-of-arms and crest, marked under bases or on bodies, covers, burner and stand, also stamped CRICHTON BROS NEW YORK & LONDON, the tray apparently unmarked
The kettle on stand 14in. (35.5cm.) high, the tray 29¼in. (74.4cm.) long; 176oz. 10dwt. (5500gr.) gross weight excluding tray (8)
