A Staffordshire creamware Parson jug
of Ralph Wood type, wearing wide-brimmed hat and clerical robes, modelled standing with his left hand clasping a piglet from a basket above a plinth inscribed I WILL/HAVE NO/CHILD./THO'TH/Y PIG and holding a piglet under his right arm, on shaped oval base, circa 1785 (hat a replacement, the rim reduced, some small chips and glaze flakes) -- 29cm. high
