A French ormolu-mounted mahogany bureau plat and chair
In the Empire Revival Style, Late 19th Early 20th Century
The bureau plat with a rectangular top inset with a gilt-tooled leather writing surface above three frieze drawers, the reverse with three apparent drawers, the sides each with a pull-out slide, on a pair of scrolled supports, joined by an 'H'-shaped stretcher, the underside of the top stencilled 3086, the chair with a curved top rail and a moulded edge, above an 'x'-shaped splat, with down-swept supports, above a padded green leather squab seat, with serpentine front rail, on turned front legs
