Album of 57 individual albumen prints and one three-part panorama. Circa 1890s. Each approximately 8¼ x 10½ in. (21.1 x 26.9 cm.) or the reverse, the panorama 7¾ x 29¾ in. (19.7 x 75.5 cm.), linen-backed, mounted within red printed borders, titled in ink and each with photographer's printed credit on the mount, full leather (the front cover damaged where centre-piece removed), gilt, g.e., gilt clasp, large folio.

Lot Essay

Portraits identified as the Nawab Abdool Gunny, probably the compiler of the album, Nawab Ahsunollah, Khajeh Hafizollah (2) and The Station Group with H. H. the Lt. Governor & Suit. The remainder mostly architectural subjects including unusual views of mosques, palaces, The Mitford Hospital, the Northbrook Hall, the waterworks, the Mill Barracks and the Iron Suspension Bridge.
