A Louis Philippe marmo verdi antico and bronze mounted striking mantel clock, second quarter 19th century
The bronze case cast as an antique stone plinth, a classically draped lady leaning against it with an open book on top, with astronomical and geometrical instruments leaning against it on the other side, on a rectangular green and white marble plinth, above an acanthus cast collar above the marble base, with four scrolling foliate bracket feet, the dial lacking, with twin barrel movement and countwheel strike on bell -- 25½in. (64.8cm.) high
