8° (library labels removed from front free endpaper and title), original red pictorial cloth with sleeping lion stamped in blue and white on upper cover (spine very lightly faded, some very faint staining). Second Printing.

The front free endpaper inscribed, 'To Jack Keenan with warmest regards, Jack Kennedy', and further inscribed in a different hand (?Keenan's), 'Jack Keenan, good boy, poor reading'.
