Comprising: gold nashiji ['pearskin' lacquer] saya [scabbard] with kiku- and kiri-mon [chrysanthemum and paulownia crests] in gold hiramaki-e [low-relief lacquer]; tsuka [hilt] covered in gilt metal worked with floral designs; the metal fittings all silver worked in relief with the same crests; the hanging tapes of brown leather
