A majolica cobalt-blue-ground two-handled jardinière
probably English, of flared cylindrical form, moulded with a quarter-length bust of a classical lady, her hair tied with a pink ribbon, within a pale-blue-ground roundel and beaded band, reserved on a chocolate-brown shield-shaped panel issuing garlands of stiff leaves, a similar roundel to the reverse, with pale-blue interior, on tortoise-shell-ground waisted cylindrical base, late 19th century (restored) -- 27cm. high
