A French gilt-bronze and porcelain-mounted striking mantel clock, circa 1870
The case with porcelain urn finial flanked by gilt-bronze pineapples, with bowed pink porcelain side panels decorated with birds amidst flowers within gilt-painted borders, with acanthus cast gallery above the breakfront base raised on toupie feet, a conforming porcelain panel painted with cherubs below the white enamel Roman dial with moon hands, the twin barrel movement with strike on bell (lacking) -- 13¾in. (35cm.) high
