The case with shield-shaped dial with painted Roman chapters (repainted), later brass hands, later signature John Stokes Bewdley 1611, the short trunk with later breakarch door decorated with chinoiserie figures within a landscape with a pagoda, the movement with anchor escapement and rectangular plates, now with additional strike train joined to it with rack strike on bell; case with restorations and replacements, parts mid 18th century, movement later and adapted -- 60in. (152.5cm.) high
