A FINE MING-STYLE BLUE AND WHITE MOON FLASK
QINALONG SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD


Painted to each side in rich colbalt-blue with eight panels, each enclosing one of the ba jixiang radiating from a slightly-raised boss centred by a stylized flower-head and divided by key-fret and lappet bands, all within a key-fret border, the flat sides painted with a narrow band of leafy scrolls issuing blossoms, the neck and foot each painted with a lingzhi scroll and with a key-fret band at the rim, each shoulder moulded with a scroll handle--19¼in. (49.2cm.) high
