A SUZHOU WHITE JADE 'NARCISSUS' PLAQUE
LATE MING DYNASTY/EARLY QING DYNASTY

Carved in low relief to one side with narcissus, lingzhi and young bamboo within a shaped frame, the reverse with a four-character inscription within a rectangle, xianzhi zhushou, which may be translated as 'the fiery zhi offers his congratulations and wishes you long life', all below a perforated cloud border, the stone of even white tone--2 3/8in. (6cm.) long
