A LARGE DOUCAI JARDINIERE
QIANLONG, MARK EFFACED

The heavily potted sides rising to a thickened rim, finely painted on the exterior with five Mughal-style lotus medallions, interspersed by elaborate interlaced ruyi-heads and feathery foliate wreathes between lotus panels around the foot and a band of interlocked quatrefoils each enclosing chrysanthemum or lotus flowerheads below the rim, the countersunk base polished--13 1/4in. (33.5cm.) diam.
