Of compressed globular form on a flat base fitted with a hinged, loop handle and silver cover, the body and handle lacquered in gold and silver in hiramaki-e and slightly raised relief with scattered cherry blossoms, rafts and swirling water on a nashiji ground, accents of gold and silver foil and togidashi, the domed silver lid engraved and pierced with cherry blossoms and water, the interior also lined in silver--with handle raised 10¾in. (27.3cm.) high, approx. diameter 12in. (30.5cm.)
