Of rectangular shape with canted corners with curved legs attached to an openwork plinth of the same shape as the surface, decorated on the top, sides and legs in two-colored gold hiramaki-e with Tokugawa hollyhock crests (aoi-mon) on a broken lattice of bamboo, the ground nashiji repeated on the inside edges of the legs, underside and plinth--8 1/8 x 14 3/8 x 12 3/8in.
