A PAINTED POTTERY FIGUREOF AN ATTENDANT
HAN DYNASTY

The standing figure dressed in reddish-brown robes highlighted at the lapels, cuffs and hem with rust and orange detail, with long swagged sleeves and spreading train, the separately modeled head well painted with a band across the forehead and a mustache on the upper lip, the tightly coiffed hair parted in the centre and divided into two loops at the back of the head; together with a painted pottery figure of a kneeling court lady, covered with white pigment, the robes with rust details at the lapels, waist and cuffs, the separately modeled head with serene expression below neatly dressed hair parted in the center
