Hook-shaped, the tapering handle with a wide band of translucent pink over a waved ground embellished with four dementoid garnets suspending ribbon-tied laurel festoons, within chased and engraved palmate borders, apparently unmarked, in red leather case, the cover stamped in Russian 'A.I. Sumin S.P.B. Nevskii 80'

Avenir Ivanovich Sumin is recorded at his Nevskii address from around 1900 to 1917, where he made guilloché enamel objects in Fabergé's style using pastel tones similar to Britsyn and Astreiden.
