The first maker's mark of H. Woodward, Birmingham, 1870; the second possibly late 19th century
Each with lower body cut with stars within trelliswork, the first baluster, etched with flowering branches, glass handle, the short mount and hinged molded domed cover chased with flowering foliage, with squat spout; the German example with panelled tapering neck, with foliate and scalework C-scroll silver handle, short neck mount with highly flaring spout, the hinged cover with foliate baluster finial--average height 11in.
