The deep bowl rising from a short ring foot inlaid in white and black slip on the exterior with four chrysanthemums between line bands inlaid in white slip, the interior reverse-inlaid in white slip with a wide band of scrolling foliage into which are set four large chrysanthemum medallions inlaid in white and black slip, all below a band of scrolling foliage in white slip, covered by a celadon glaze with high sheen and fine crackle which pools slightly emerald in the recesses--7½in. (19.2cm.) diameter
