A GEORGE III SILVER SOUP-TUREEN, COVER AND STAND
LONDON, 1804 AND 1810, MAKER'S MARK OF PAUL STORR

Of circular form on spreading dentilated base, with two reeded and foliate lion-mask handles, applied at the rim with a band of tied reed and vine above a dentilated band, later engraved with a coat-of-arms, the cover chased wtih radiating flutes and with lion-mask and acanthus reed handle issuing from the calyx of radiating acanthus, the circular stand with conforming border and two massive acanthus scroll handles, similarly chased wtih flutes and applied with a border of pearls, marked on foot, cover, calyx, handle and stand -- length of stand 21½ in. (54.5 cm.)
