The hood with molded swan's-neck pediment terminating in carved rosettes centering a brass ball and spire finial above line-inlaid plinths over an arched glazed door opening to a white-painted dial with two Arabic chapter rings enclosing a sweep second ring and calendar day aperture, the spandrels embellished with gilt and orange-painted fans surmounted by a sailor standing next to a monument for Lord Nelson, above a waisted case with arched thumb-molded cupboard door centering oval inlay flanked by fluted quarter columns over a box base with circular inlay above a shaped apron on French feet-- 99 1/4in. high, 18 7/8in. wide, 11in. deep
