Maker's mark of John Crawford, probably New York, circa 1834
Comprising teapot, two-handled covered sugar bowl and waste bowl, each lobed urn form on molded oblong base, engraved one side with crest, the other with script name and date L O' Callaghan April 18, 1834, the shoulder with die-rolled fox hunting scene, with serpent-headed and foliate clad handles, the teapot with bird-headed spout, the hinged flat topped raised cover topped by lion couchant finial--the teapot 9in. (22.8cm.) high, gross weight 73oz. (3)
