AN AMERICAN SILVER COFFEE POT, THREE-PIECE TEA SERVICE AND A PITCHER
The first maker's mark of Gale & Mosely, New York, the set William Gale, the pitcher with Baltimore assay mark for 1810--1850
The coffee pot, teapot, two-handled covered sugar bowl and waste bowl each with apparently added mid-section, with matching decoration, each urn form, on molded base, with die-rolled floral bands, applied foliate band to shoulder, the pots with leaf-capped spout, molded scroll handle, the waisted raised hinged cover topped by fruit and floral cluster finial--the coffee pot 14¼in. (36.1cm.) high, the pitcher front chased with agricultural tool motifs--10in. (25.4cm.) high, gross weight 154oz. (5)
